Cousin Time!

Today we drove up to central California to see the Wyetts. It was a long day but very fun, the girls had so much fun playing with their cousins! They played outside, swam, watched movies, and Sofia tried all kinds of healthy fruits & snacks because the boys were eating them. (Bonus!)

Sweet Hallelujah, Gabby finally likes swim class. It's like she's a different kid. She laughed the whole time, went to the teacher, it's awesome!

Sofia's Big Girl Bed

We got Sofia big girl bed today! It's a really cute sleigh bed that we got at Living Spaces (plus a new dresser) and her new Ariel themed bedding. She was pretty excited! We still need to do a few more decorating touches, and will probably add some other Disney princesses into the mix. It looks so huge in her room, and she looks so tiny in it!

*Note: the next day we ended up getting guard rails because she fell out of bed the first night, luckily we had padded with lots of pillows just in case. In the morning she says "Mama my new bed is too small!")

Girly girls

Sofia insists on wearing a dress every day to daycare now. I always make her wear shorts or leggings under it and it's usually a cotton, casual dress. Today I wore a yellow dress to work and wanted yellow too, only her yellow dress is a bit too fancy for daycare. But I let her...and it came home nice and dirty :)

We're walkin....

We have been having an almost nightly outing of walking around the block. Sofia is really good at riding her bike now. We usually stop by the Elliotts' house and also visit another neighbor, an older Peruvian man named Segundo, who has a nice dog and plays music the girls like to dance to.  It's nice that it gets dark so late!

We are the Champions!

The girls wore their new STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS t-shirts today (and we got to go watch Nelson play hockey too). Go Kings Go!

Fourth of July Fun!

We had a really fun day! Swimming in the "mini pool" aka the hot tub with the temperature down in the morning, then we went to the Grays for a BBQ dinner, playing in the sprinklers, and fireworks.  Boy were these girls tuckered out!
