Sofia had her first popsicle today - she has had frozen yogurt squeezers which are kind of like popsicles but never a real popsicle on a stick. Nelson and I were eating one and she was not content to share ours, so we gave her our own. She really liked it! And managed to avoid the dreaded brain freeze. =)

What's in a Name?
Most people who know me know I am sucker for anything personalized. I just think it's cool to have things with your own name on it, and I shamelessly love my girls' names so I like to plaster them all over everything. A few things I ordered for Gabby arrived this week - a personalized blanket and a beach bag/towel (Sofia has a bag/towel of a different pattern that we use every week for swim lesson.) Sofi & Gabby's New Playroom
For quite some time now, Sofia's toys have been taking over the living room more and more. Now that we've finished our addition and Gabby's room, we turned our attention to the spare room/office/gym. We finally got rid of our old bed and turned it into a playroom (it's still half office). We are moving the workout area to the garage (that's our next project). We moved maybe half of her toys into the new playroom...and it's already a lot! We also got a cute new storage shelf with colorful bins. Eventually we will paint and decorate in here (it still has our "zen" gym paint and decor going on) but for now it's another space for her to play and to keep some of the bigger toys out of the living room.

Benihana - Be The Chef
Tonight Nelson and I went to Benihana's and actually got to cook the food on the hibachi grill! It's part of a package they offer called Be the Chef. We had gone in Saturday to do training, which was fun. Tonight we got to do it for real for a table of our friends. It was really fun! And we get to keep the hats and aprons. I think everyone was entertained and the food tasted good.
Sofia Likes to Potty!
I know this is TMI for anyone who is not a parent, but Sofia went potty on her training potty for the first time today! She has sat on it lots of times but never actually gone in it. She was taking a bath and said "mama poo poo" so I took her out of the bath and on the potty, and she made "the face" and low and behold she went pee pee and poo poo in the potty. I was so excited that I clapped and hollered - and she said "I did it! I did it!" (which is what Dora says at the end of each episode). It was pretty cute. So I wanted to record this milestone on the blog. No pics - that would be just too much :)

Baby Gabby's Room = Ready!
We did the finishing touches on Gabriella's room - wall art, decals, mobile, clock, new little shelf for the humidifier and extra storage for books/toys, mounted the video monitor camera, and yes butterflies everywhere! (Or as Sofia says "futterflies") I love love love it, something about the combo of pink and brown I really like together. Now we just need a baby to put in there :) One month exactly til our due date!!
Playgroup at the Park
Today we met up with Max & Allyse, Sarah & Ben, Kathy & Jenna, and Larissa & Cole (Joanne just had baby #2 Campbell Rose on Friday!) at a park in Encino for mommy & me playgroup. Sofia really liked playing in the sand, I'll have to pick up some more sand toys for her. We weren't super excited about the park though, it was really busy and a bunch of the bigger kids were out of control throwing sand and being obnoxious and their parents did nothing about it. But it's always fun to see the girls and let the kids play. This will probably be my last playgroup for a little bit, since Gabby is due 1 month from today!
