Movin' on up...to the next size!

This weekend I went through all of the 12-18 months clothes in the garage as I'm getting ready to move her into the next size. Luckily between all of my friends with girl babies, I ended up with 3 packed laundry loads full of stuff. This is what it looks like!

Sofia is 49 weeks old today!

We went to Palmdale to have dinner with my mom, aunt and uncle. Sofia showed off her walking skillz (and applauded for herself), terrorized their dog, and even showed off some of the sign language I've been teaching her. I've known about baby sign language for a while but haven't been consistent with it. I took at class at work on Wednesday, and since then I have been doing the signs for More, Milk, Mom and Dad pretty regularly. She is already doing "more" back to me, and whenever we sign Milk she gets really happy and starts looking around for her bottle.

A couple more videos

This one is one of my favorites. Nelson was taping her when I got home from work. A few seconds in she looks up to her right and sees me enter the room, and she gets so excited and kind of goes "ma"..."ma" not quite Mama but I'll take it!

And just to prove it's not all rosy, here's a video of her throwing a temper tantrum which is new and while funny, going to get old fast!

Walking Videos

FINALLY CATCHING UP ON SOME VIDEOS!

This is how it started - she would turn and take one big step to lunge from one item of furniture to another

Then she started to attempt to walk out in the open.

This is the best video we have so far. It's about 3 steps before she plants on her bum.

Sofia is 11 months old today!

Benihana Family Dinner

Most of you who know us well know we loves us some Benihana. After a really bad day at work, Nelson decided to cheer me up and we went to Benihana for dinner. This was Sofia's first time since she's been in a high chair. She wasn't terribly content to sit still for very long, but it was still fun. And the two margaritas helped. Time to go to bed early!
