Christmas Morning 2010

Merry Christmas everyone! Sofia gave us a gift and slept in until 8:30. Then we opened presents, she loved ripping open the paper and when we were all done she ran around from toy to toy playing with them. Her favorite seemed to be her new Dora the Explorer plate and silverware set, she kept pretending to eat invisible food with it. She also liked her cookie jar (each cookie is a number) - she "shared" her cookies with us. She also got a puzzle and stacker, a Dora doll, and some books. She didn't quite understand why there were presents there that were not for her, and was pretty bored when we opened a present for us which was not toys :)
For breakfast we had my grandma's casserole, it was delicious but Sofia just picked off the cheese and left the rest. She's not big on combined foods, she prefers to eat her egg and cheese separate from other ingredients. Maybe next year!

Christmas Eve 2010

Tonight Sofia got to visit with her Grandma Sara and cousin Claudia. They gave her presents which we will open tomorrow.
Xmas Eve is more the traditional family celebration in Nelson's family (while Xmas morning was always mine) so next year when she gets it more we'll probably do a little bit of celebrating at both times.
Looking forward to her opening her gifts tomorrow morning! Hope everyone has a great Christmas!

This morning we met up with Max & Allyse for a playdate at an indoor play place I just discovered not far from our house. The girls ran around for a couple of hours and then we grabbed lunch. It worked because Sofia fell fast asleep at naptime!

Christmas Comes Early!

Christmas is just days away but tonight we received 3 cool gifts - mostly for Sofia!
#1 Flowers from Uncle Bob with a teddy bear for Sofia
#2 A great book "I'm a Big Sister" from my boss Tracey which explains how even though there is a new baby the big sister is still very special
#3 a customized outfit and hat from Rene & Winter - with her signature nickname "OCAB" (One cute ass baby!) I wonder if she soon will transition to be OCAT (one cute ass toddler?)

First had to show off her cute hair - Lena at daycare did her hair in about 6 different little ponytails. Super cute but she cried when we took out the rubbed bands :(

Holiday Playgroup with Mom's Club

Today we had our monthly Mom's Group get-together to celebrate the holidays at Larissa's. Everyone was able to make it but Sarah and Ben :( but the kids had fun running around playing and opening gifts.

Time to See Santa!

It's that time of year - Santa picture! We have been showing Sofia pictures of Santa for a few weeks and she has been saying she wanted to see Santa. She liked him, she gave him a high five, but she wasn't in the mood to smile. But even with her little serious face, it's still adorable!

Afterwards we hit up the Disney store and got her a Mickey and Minnie doll. She loves them! She gave them kisses all the way home. She calls them both "Mee-Moe".

On weekends, Sofia likes to help Daddy make scrambled eggs. She likes to help break the eggs then whisk, all while standing on a step stool so she can reach the counter. Future master chef??
