Active Day for Sofia

Even though we were for the most part home today, Sofia was very active. Lots of playing! We played in just about every room in the house, in the backyard (going down the slide, chasing balls), walked up and down the street and pulled her in her red Radio Flyer wagon that she got for her birthday. We also had a fun dinner with the Levitus' - and all this activity probably explains why Sofia chowed down on Mexican food, even though she already had dinner!

She wants to rock n roll, all night, and party every day

Whatchu lookin at?

Hi!

I love this crazy face

"Faster Daddy!"

"again!"

What no more? (She actually cried when we took her out!)

Sofia's Birthday Party at Daycare

Finally got the pictures that Lena took at Sofia's daycare the day of her Daycare Party. We took cupcakes and goodie bags for the kids. Sofia got some really great presents from some of the other kids too! I think it's very cool that they make a big deal about birthdays, because birthdays are special.

The cupcakes and my art project - the customized cupcake toppers!

It kind of looks like they are holding her back from diving in!

I really want those!

She had her cake the day before so she only had part of a cupcake

Here's my hat

Circle time: Happy Birthday I assume?

With Lena?

Why so sad? Too much birthday?!

Heading home from Nipomo

Spent a few hours with Holli and the kids in the morning before we headed home. Here are a few of the pics:

She is still on fence about the taste of regular milk. Either that or she just prefers solid foods now, because she hasn't been drinking her whole bottle, when she used to down it in no time

To Nipomo for Holli's Bday

Today we headed up to the Central Coast to visit the Wyetts and celebrate Holli's birthday. We had two big outings planned - 1) Holli and I went to do her baby registry for Emma (it's official - it's a girl!) and 2) Sofia's first trip to the beach, we went to Pismo. It was a bit cold and windy so though she was wearing her bathing suit under all those layers, no water for Sofia today. But the rest of the kids went in, including Nelson (unplanned and in his clothes) Here are a bunch of pics from the fun day.

Driving up, Sofia caught up on some reading

Ready for the beach, playing with Bradley

She just woke up from her nap

Bradley drove with us and played peekaboo

My face is classic

Nel waded in with the boys & Savanna

and then tossed Savanna in!
(you must click on this photo to get a bigger version, her face is so funny)

She was not happy! Mean Uncle Nelson
(click to enlarge this one too!)

Sofia hung out with Auntie Holli while I got photos of the madness

Back at the Wyetts, it was warm enough to cruise around in her bathing suit!

Sofia moves Forward Facing!

Now that she's 1 year and 20+ pounds, Sofia can sit forward facing! Good thing because she was starting to get really bored and annoyed sitting backwards, and rebeling against the carseat.
Today was her first ride facing forward and she loved it! She was looking all around, laughing, talking, waving at me. It was super cute!

"I love my new POV!"
