Strawberry Festival

Today we went to the California Strawberry Festival in Oxnard. We had a great time and ate way too much. Our friend Stu joined us - and dubbed himself Sofia's Fairy Godfather. We walked around all of the crafts booths first. Lots of cute stuff and creative vendors. We looked at some of the rides but they were for kids just a bit bigger than Sofi. Then we had lunch, and listened to some live rock. Dessert was strawberry shortcake and funnel cake (we shared) and smoothies. While Sofia was eating, a photographer from the local paper came by and took some pictures. Maybe she will show up in print! Right before we left, there was this really cool Beatles cover band playing, dressed like them, talking in Liverpudlian accents (Stu said that's a word!) and singing Beatles tunes. We were all pooped by 1pm so we hopped in the care to head home.
