Bath time Fun + Video!

Sofia definitely digs bath time...here are some photos and video!
For those wondering what that green blanket thing is on her its called a "Bath Luv" - it's in the shape of a frog. Its basically a large thick washcloth that you put in warm water and cover the baby with while bathing to keep them warm. I know, how did babies ever survive before the Bath Luv?

Video #2 - Sofia on her Bumbo

Sofia meets Missy, Carlin, Jackson & Bumbo

Today we went to visit my friend from high school, Melissa (always Missy to me!) and her two sons Carlin & Jackson. We took a nice walk around her neighborhood, which is funny enough the same exact street she grew up on - just two doors down.

Tonight we put Sofi in her Bumbo for the first time. She did a great job of holding up her head. We probably won't use this on a regular basis for a couple more weeks, but she is looking around more and likes to be in a sitting position (her Boppy is a little too laid back).

Sofia is 9 weeks old today!

Today we went out to Palmdale and my mom watched Sofia (with help from Uncle Greggy & Auntie Marsha) while Nel & I went to see Star Trek the movie. It was great and of course Sofi was "an angel" for her grandma. (Really would she tell me otherwise if she wasn't?!)

Sofia's 2 month Doctor's Appointment

Today we took Sofia for her 2 month doctor's appointment. She weighs 14 lbs 1 oz and is 23 3/4 inches long. She is in the 95 percentile for babies her age. The doctor was very happy with her overall health. She confirmed that her rash is seborrheic dermatitis (aka cradle cap - but that it can spread to the rest of the body too) and told us we can use a dandruff shampoo for her scalp and hydrocortisone cream for her face and body (very low dose, used sparingly). Though the olive oil I have been using for the past couple of days seems to be helping too.
Then came the bad part - the shots! She did cry but it wasn't as bad as I feared it would be, and she recovered pretty quickly. We were very proud of her! We just need to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't have any adverse reactions.
So far she seems fine - she is chillin' in her swing as I type this:

Just another pic to share - this one's from today. She is starting to wear her 3-6 months clothes now, so I have a whole new wardrobe to choose from. She's also wearing size 2 diapers now and weighs about 14 pounds. Tomorrow is her 2 month doctor's check-up...poor little one will get her first shots!
