Gabby = self feeding, sign language & 4 new teeth

The pics below of Gabby are from her lunch today. I let her feed herself. She made a mess but it was so cute. She did pretty well with the spoon. She is actively using the sign for "more" and this girl loves to eat so we see it a lot. You can also see her top 4 teeth coming in in a few of the photos (click to enlarge).

Plus a bonus shot of Sofia playing in the playroom! I used an app on my phone to change the color of the photo - looks cool!

Paint & Play

Today we had a lot of fun around the house - Sofia did some painting and Gabby practiced walking by pushing a toy up and down the hallway (she sticks our her tongue - it's really cute as you can see). We also had fun outside the house - Sofia has gymnastics and we hit up the mall for a stroll. And Nelson and I both got our workouts done and can spend the rest of the night watching TV. I'd call that a good day!

Photo Requests

Sofia asked me to take her picture today - so I did! I also got a great pic where you can see Gabby's top teeth coming in. All 4 front teeth are coming in but you an see the outer two most right now. Vampire baby - just like Sofia was! (click on the photo to enlarge)

Pillow Time & Bath Time

A few pics from today - Gabby this morning playing in our bed, and bath time tonight, playing with their new Octopus bubble blowing bath toy (a gift for Gabby's birthday but Sofia assumes it's all for her too!) The last pic is a close-up of Sofia's "booboo" - the scab has completely fallen off but the stitches haven't dissolved yet. Looks so much better!

Gabby's 1st Birthday Party

We had a great time today with family & friends at Gabby's party. It was a pretty cool day but the kids ran around the yard and played in the playroom while the grownups chatted and ate sandwiches and snacks.

Pretty proud of the Minnie Mouse cupcake toppers I made from paper, bows and toothpicks! (check them out below) *cupcakes by Ralph's bakery :)

Gabby had the opposite reaction to the cake as Sofia, was totally fine with the crowd but pissed when we took the cake away (that's my favorite pic!) Sofia helped her blow out the candle.

Gabby's Daycare Presents

Check out all of the goodies Gabby got from her friends at daycare for her birthday! We are so lucky, we have such a cool group of kids/parents. Everyone really celebrates each other's birthdays. She literally got a gift from every other kid there. The irony is she had no idea what was going on and crawled off after we opened the first gift. Sofia, on the other hand, was all over it. She opened all the presents and even insisted on posing with them. LOL that kid! She really can't wait for her birthday. Tomorrow's party should be interesting, hopefully she won't get too jealous of all the attention paid to Gabby :)
Sofia also got Gabby a gift - a puzzle stool that has her name on it, just like the one Sofia has. Gabby likes to use it as a walker and push it around. No pic of that yet - soon!
